Development of materials

In the area of materials development RUAG Technology focuses on lightweight materials such as aluminium, magnesium or metal matrix composites (MMC), together with the heat treatment of steel, aluminium and copper.

A new aluminium alloy (SMARTHIX®) has been developed since thixoforming is still subject so severe technical restrictions.
