Cross-organizational operational command with PantherCommand®

Civil authorities are increasingly confronted with massive crowds at events and with demonstrations of all types and sizes. Despite the dwindling amount of resources available, first response organizations must still be able to react rapidly and precisely. Intelligent operational command systems are vital for quickly and reliably gaining and exchanging information, and enable deployed forces to be led cross-functionally and directly on location.

Together with police experts, RUAG Electronics AG has developed the PantherCommand® operational command system for police forces. This system - developed by the industry for the industry - meets both present and future needs and has been successfully use since 2006.

During the EURO 2008 football championship, Swiss police forces in Basel and Zurich successfully commanded security forces using PantherCommand®. The Freiburg regional police authorities also successfully used the PantherCommand® operational command system at the 2009 NATO Summit in Baden-Baden, Kehl and Strasbourg.
Graubünden cantonal police also commands its operations at the annual World Economic Forum each January using PantherCommand®. The system provides decisive support in all operation phases, from planning and managing operations through to debriefing.
